During their meeting, the Healing Our Waters-Great Lakes Coalition presented Durbin with an art piece in recognition of his decades of work to protect the Great Lakes. Durbin reflected on his work with the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI), which has provided more than $4 billion in the past 16 years for projects that restore habitat, fight invasive species, clean up toxic pollution, and reduce pollution runoff.
