https://www.enzi.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news-releases?ContentRecord_id=08D2AAC0-0AAF-4825-AD8B-2786CAE841ED Enzi statement on 15th anniversary of 9/11 2016-09-10 2016 2016-09 Republican House WY Michael Enzi E000285 www.enzi.senate.gov     legacy U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., issued the following statement concerning the 15th anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001. “Fifteen years ago, America showed the world our resolve, strength and commitment to our principles, as we stood together as one nation in the face of the worst act of terror in our nation’s history. Today we remember all of those who lost their lives at the World Trade Center and Pentagon on that frightful Tuesday morning. We remember the brave men and women on Flight 93 who gave their lives to save others. We remember all the heroic first responders and police officers who lost their lives trying to come to the aid of others that day. “September 11th will forever be a somber day of remembrance, but it is also a day to remember that we still stand together against those who wish to threaten our way of life — those who reject the American values and freedoms that we hold so dear. We are a country of many different backgrounds, religions, races, creeds and origins, but together we are strongly united under our sense of community, country and principles of freedom. Though our foes may wish to divide us through fear, we must show them that we are still strongly committed to the principles and values that make us the United States of America.” 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
