Constituents who have contacted Enzi via his web page and telephone will begin to receive responses. Enzi  will begin directing updates of his social media pages and website again as well. He is meeting with Wyoming constituents. The office, however, is not able to provide some services that incur a cost or depend on other parts of the government until the shutdown is over. This includes processing flag requests, providing tours, some requests for help with federal agencies (casework) or sending hard copy mail responses from Senator Enzi to constituents.   “Since the shutdown began, the House has moved to pay furloughed federal workers and that proposal is supported by the White House, so I asked my staff to come back to work this week. We are resuming service as much as we can given the government is still shut down. If my staff will be paid whether they are working or not, they should be working,” Enzi said. “This shutdown is the responsibility of the members of Congress so when the shutdown is over and I get my paycheck, I plan to return whatever portion of it was earned during the shutdown.” Federal workers, with the exception of those in the military, are not receiving paychecks now.  By law members of Congress will continue to receive pay, but Enzi plans to send back any pay he receives during the shutdown. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
