The full transcript from the video is included below. “It’s that wonderful time again – the official start of this year’s holiday seasons. Diana and I look forward to this time of year every year and the opportunity it gives us to spend some special time with family and friends. “Whether you are celebrating Hannukah and the beautiful Festival of Lights or getting ready for Thanksgiving – or both! -- we want you to know that we are thinking of you and wishing you and your families well. “For Diana and me, this time of year always reminds us of all we have been blessed to receive for which we are truly grateful -- “For the food we have prepared to celebrate these holidays – for all those who worked so hard to grow it, package it, bring it to market and most importantly, for those whose talents helped to prepare this meal for us. “For our nation’s veterans and all those who are currently serving in our armed forces. Thanks to them we have our rights and freedoms, our cherished American way of life and hope for the future. We are able to choose our faith, live it and express it. The countless sacrifices of those who serve and have served have kept our nation strong, secure and free and made these celebrations possible. “For our police, fire and emergency first responders. They are our first line of defense and we owe them a great deal of thanks for their willingness to serve. Thanks to them we can sleep well at night knowing that our families are protected and will be safe from harm. “For those who are not as fortunate as we are this year. We thank those who work with the poor and the needy. We encourage all those who can help at food kitchens and other facilities that support the needy to do so. You will receive much more in return than you will give. “To all those who serve in our government on the local, state and national levels. Our nation wouldn’t be the place to live that it is without those of you who are willing to step up to the plate and tackle the difficult job of making our government work. You make a difference in more ways than you will ever know and we are proud of all of you. “To our friends and neighbors all over Wyoming. You have given me this opportunity to serve you in the Senate and I am proud to be known as your Senator. I really do have the best job in the world. “May God continue to bless us as individuals, just as he has blessed us as a nation. In the end, that is really the purpose of Thanksgiving – and a theme of Hannukah -- to realize all the ways we have been blessed and to give thanks.” Click here to download the video and audio. | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
