But to pass a bill, you have to get a positive vote at every [step]...We will see through the amendments whether it is an attempt to kill the bill or whether it is an attempt to improve the bill.” This is the second day of the Senate Finance Committee’s consideration of a bill to fundamentally reform the U.S. tax code, something that has not been done since 1986. Under the proposal, Wyoming would see 1,792 new jobs and a middle-income family on average would see their after-tax income increase by $2,544, according to an analysis by the Tax Foundation. The Tax Foundation also found the plan would also lead to a 3.7 percent increase in the country’s economy over the long term and 2.9 percent higher wages. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
