The resolution was led by U.S. Senators Jim Risch (R-Idaho) and Ben Cardin (D-Md.). “The relationship between the U.S. and Israel is unbreakable, and Israel has the right to defend itself against this brutal, barbaric attack from Hamas. Our strong, bipartisan resolution is a powerful sign of the American people’s support for Israel. The United States stands by our ally,” said Senator Fischer. The resolution secured the support of nearly every member of the U.S. Senate.
