Starting Friday, October 13, the U.S. government began facilitating departure assistance for U.S. citizens and their immediate family members seeking a safe means of departing Israel who have been unable to book commercial transit. Chartered transportation will be by air or sea to nearby safe locations. From these locations, individuals will be able to make their own onward travel arrangements to the destination of their choice. Access to departure assistance information can be found here. The State Department has a team communicating around the clock with U.S. citizens impacted by the situation in Israel. U.S. citizens in need of assistance should complete the crisis intake form or call 1-833-890-9595 (toll-free), 1-606-641-0131 (U.S. local), or 03-519-7426 (Israel local).
