U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) today announced the departure of Dusty Vaughan, who has served as her state director since January 2013. Holly Baker will serve as Fischer's next state director. I thank Dusty Vaughan for his 14 years of service to the people of Nebraska.He has always performed his responsibilities with the highest integrity and great heart. Dusty has shown leadership on key policy issues, particularly in the areas of transportation and telecommunications, that have improved our state and helped our families.He is a trusted advisor, a steady hand, and a dear friend. I wish him the very best as he enters the next chapter of his career. I'm pleased to announce that Holly Baker will take the helm as my next state director. As a lifelong Nebraskan with well over a decade of experience working for the people of our state in the U.S. Senate, Holly has my full confidence. I know she will excel as the leader of my Nebraska team and work hard to make the lives of Nebraskans better,said Senator Fischer. Dusty Vaughan served Senator Fischer for all eight years as she represented District 43 in the Nebraska Legislature from 2005-2012. He served as Legal Counsel of the Transportation and Telecommunications Committee for her six years as Chairman of that committee. Following Fischer's election to the U.S. Senate in 2012, she named Vaughan as her state director, a position he has held since January 2013. Vaughan received his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Holly Baker began working for Nebraska in the U.S. Senate in 2004. She has served in the offices of U.S. Senators Chuck Hagel, Mike Johanns, and in Fischer's office since July 2014.
