Congratulations, Judge Bazis!” Background: Senator Fischer first recommended Susan Bazis as a federal judge to President Biden for the District of Nebraska in January of 2023. Bazis’ nomination now enters the Senate confirmation process. After a confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, the committee will vote on her nomination. Following approval by the committee, her nomination heads to the Senate floor for a final vote.
