Members of both parties came together to support this legislation, which gives our troops the resources they need to keep us safe and stay on the offensive against threats to our national security.The men and women in uniform who go to work every single day to keep us safe deserve to know that leaders in Congress have their backs, and today's passage of the NDAA is a step in that direction. "This NDAA also contains provisions barring the transfer of Guantanamo detainees to the United States, and it continues to bar taxpayer dollars from being used to assist in any such transfer. These provisions send a clear message to the Administration that any plan to move Guantanamo detainees to this country is unacceptable. This is not the first time that the American people, through their representatives in Congress, have sent this message.
