The Senate is in session and members are negotiating the omnibus appropriations bill as well as the renewal and extension of tax incentives, including those for wind energy, biodiesel and Section 179 equipment expensing that helps farmers and small businesses. The Senate passed a short-term continuing resolution on Thursday, Dec. 10, which extended funding at the current level until Wednesday, Dec. 16. Depending on negotiations on final legislation, the Senate may be in session through the end of the week.
