This billempowers states to establish systems that work best for local schools districts, families, andmost importantlystudents. This legislation balancesflexibility and transparency, maintaining important measurements of student academic progress but allowing states and localities to determine how best todetermine and evaluate this progress.Without this bill, No Child Left Behind will remain the law of the land, and states willremain subject to the Obama administration's waivers and the federal requirements that accompany them.I am pleased that my colleagues in the House have taken this important step, andI look forward to sending this bill to the Presidents desk. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
