The funds will be used for remediation activities under the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) to clean up radioactive waste dating from the Manhattan Project. Senator Hawley has consistently advocated on behalf of the Coldwater Creek community. In March, Senator Hawley secured a pledge from EPA administrator, Lee Zeldin, to clean up radioactive waste during Administrator Zeldin’s visit to St. Louis. In April, Senator Hawley applauded the EPA for expediting their plan to clean up the West Lake Landfill and Coldwater Creek.
