This federal funding includes grants from the Infrastructure Law — legislation passed by Democrats in the N.M. Congressional Delegation — including $15.7 million to fully fund a new 21,000-square-foot terminal at the Clovis Regional Airport (CVN) and nearly $2.5 million for a project to reconstruct a taxiway at Raton Municipal Airport (RTN). The Delegation previously welcomed $3.5 million in FAA funding from the Infrastructure Law for the new terminal at the Clovis Regional Airport in February. Heinrich successfully included an additional $3.5 million for the new terminal in the Fiscal Year 2025 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill that passed out of the Senate Appropriations Committee in July. In combination with this latest award, Clovis will now have enough funding to complete the new terminal. “When we invest in New Mexico’s airports, we invest in the people who rely on these facilities to do business in our state, create jobs, and contribute to our economy,” said Heinrich, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee. “I am proud to welcome funding from the Infrastructure Law to fully construct Clovis Regional Airport’s new terminal and improve airportsall across New Mexico.
