Senator Heinrich helped author the legislation, which sets spending levels and policies for fiscal year 2017, and served on the conference committee that negotiated the final bill Senator Heinrich will announce critical funding and new authorities he secured for Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to support KAFB now and into the future. He will be joined by Dr. Kelly Hammett, Director of AFRL Directed Energy; Ronda Cole, Director of La Luz Academy; and Dr. Chaouki Abdallah, University of New Mexico Provost.
