This morning at 9 a.m., Senator Heinrich and members of his staff will volunteer at Roadrunner Food Bank to prepare food for holiday distribution. Roadrunner is the largest food bank in New Mexico and helps 70,000 hungry New Mexicans each week. Senator Heinrich will also receive a briefing on Roadrunner's new energy storage project with representatives from Affordable Solar and the Roadrunner staff. In the afternoon at 1:30 p.m., Senator Heinrich will receive training on opioid and heroin overdose prevention and host a roundtable. Senator Heinrich will announce critical funding opportunities that will be available to New Mexico and discuss the ongoing opioid crisis with first responders, law enforcement, and local elected officials.
