Heitkamp, an ardent supporter of an all-of-the-above energy policy, applauded Enbridge for investing in a new rail car loading facility and a pipeline expansion to load and transport Bakken crude. “The completion of this pipeline expansion and new loading facility is another example that North Dakota is leading the way in domestic energy production,” said Heitkamp. “It is because of investments like Enbridge’s that our state has been able to harness the resources we have. Enbridge not only has faith in Bakken production levels, but faith in our state and its people. With a true all-of-the-above energy policy, North Dakota will continue to help us become North American energy independent.” Enbridge’s new rail car loading facility and pipeline expansion will add an additional 225,000 barrels per day of transport capacity. Because of the enhanced pipeline and rail capacity, the number of trucks on North Dakota roads will decrease. Moreover, the new infrastructure will allow Bakken crude to reach markets previously unavailable.   ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
