These grants will begin to ensure that airports across our state are able to expand to meet growing needs and update existing runways and other infrastructure to safely meet the needs of our people,” said the delegation.  The following grants were awarded through the Federal Aviation Administration: Langdon Municipal Airport Authority will receive $642,434 to mill and overlay of the existing apron pavement at Robertson Field Airport.  Rugby Municipal Airport will receive $637,000 to rehabilitate the existing apron pavement and the runway. Cando Municipal Airport will receive $631,331 for construction of a taxiway to provide access to aircraft hangars and the design of a hangar building. Carrington Municipal Airport will receive $591,586 to construct a hangar building, rehabilitate the runway and add lighting to enhance safety. Glen Ullin Municipal Airport will receive $300,000 to rehabilitate the runway and construct a fuel facility. Lisbon Municipal Airport will receive $300,000 to rehabilitate the runway, apron and other pavement and the design of a hangar building. Wahpeton Airport Authority will receive $134,992 for land acquired to enhance approach protection. Golden Valley Airport Authority will receive $59,032 for runway rehabilitation and to construct a fuel facility at Beach Airport. Washburn Municipal Airport will receive $53,100 for the design of an apron and to widen the taxiway. Mercer County Regional Airport Authority will receive $48,600 to rehabilitate the runway. City of Kindred will receive $30,456 to improve airport drainage and eliminate ponding on the airfield surfaces at Hamry Field Airport.   The grants were awarded by the U.S Department of Transportation with funds appropriated by Congress.   -###- 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
