U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp announced a total of $50,000 in federal grants to support housing for low-income households. North Dakotans understand the importance of giving our neighbors a helping hand when they are most in need, said Heitkamp. This federal support will make sure some of the most vulnerable among us have a secure place to call home. And when all families have safe, affordable homes, our communities thrive. These federal funds are awarded to Red River Regional Council to help make repairs and renovations to 15 low-income homes in Pembina County. The Red River Regional Council works with local governments, businesses, and non-profits to develop comprehensive plans that help communities solve issues that may otherwise be overlooked. The federal funds come from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development through its Housing Preservation Grant program. | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
