The federal funds announced today support families by providing advice, education, and best practices during home visitation that will help their children live healthy and productive lives.” Specifically, these federal funds will support the Federal Home Visiting Program that helps parents who participate in the program improve outcomes for their children. Home visits support the health of the mother and child both during and after pregnancy, improve child development and behavior, as well as support mothers in obtaining work and education so they are able to provide a secure future for their children.
