Heller continues to urge Senate leadership and his colleagues to keep working through the weekends to pass tax relief, and has repeatedly stated that the U.S. Senate should not go home until it gets the job done. “My father was an auto mechanic, and my mom was a school cook and they had six children. And that is the goal.” Heller also recently joined Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump at an event in the Capitol highlighting how an enhanced Child Tax Credit will bring tax relief to Nevada’s middle class families. “Whether it’s the single mother from Gardnerville who doesn’t receive child support and works full-time…or Andrew in Las Vegas who worries about how he’ll be able to afford daycare for his daughters next year, I continue to hear that families in my state are struggling to cover their expenses,” Heller said at the October 25th event.
