According to the U.S. Department of Education, studies show that the implementation of a multitier, evidence-based behavioral framework has led to reductions in bullying and overall problem behaviors as well as fewer office discipline referrals and suspensions. I am pleased to see that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded nearly $750,000 to the Nevada Department of Education to implement a behavioral plan that will ultimately help all students succeed, said Heller. Every child in our classrooms has different needs, and because of that, it is imperative that we provide teachers and administrators with the tools they need to help them support each and every student in Nevada. I welcome every opportunity to improve the learning environment for Nevada's children, and this funding will go a long way toward ensuring all of Nevada's students have the chance to get ahead. ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
