Sanctuary cities only underscore the fact Americas immigration system is fundamentally broken. I intended to file an amendment to address this issue. The amendment would have provided an opportunity to help ensure those who want to participate in the American dream still have the ability to do so while also securing our borders and increasing interior enforcement measures, especially against convicted criminals. I urge my colleagues to join in the discussion to further the debate on immigration reform, an issue that is critically important to the well-being of our country, said Senator Dean Heller. ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
