The funding will support physical accessibility improvements, advocacy and intervention services, the development of accessible outreach materials, and outreach office hours and cross-trainings with community partners to better serve individuals with disabilities and deaf victims of violence. “CVIC provides critical services for victims of violence across northeast North Dakota,” said Hoeven. “This funding will strengthen the organization’s ability to serve individuals with disabilities and deaf victims by improving accessibility, expanding outreach and ensuring they receive the support and services they need.” The award follows Hoeven’s efforts to resolve DOJ funding delays affecting CVIC’s ability to provide these important victim services and violence prevention programming.
