This funding will be used to extend and widen the runway to accommodate larger aircraft, which has been identified as a need due to growth in the region. Mohall Municipal Airport has grown from 4 based aircraft in 2012 to 40 aircraft today. Senator Hoeven helped establish the Supplemental AIP program in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 THUD Appropriations Bill, and has continued to provide funding for the program in FY19 and FY20, as part of a down-payment on investment in our nation's infrastructure. The Supplemental AIP Program gives priority consideration for funding to projects at smaller, non-hub airports, like those in North Dakota.
