Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), through the Office of Justice Programs, has awarded funding to two North Dakota entities: North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation $999,638to develop and implement innovative and research-based responses to address delays within the criminal justice system. North Dakota Attorney General's Office $676,596to update finger-printing software and technology as well as replace ink and roll collection technique, and$76,433to support efforts to reduce crime and foster safer neighborhoods.
