Hoeven has been pressing DOT to expedite the award to prevent any disruptions and ensure reliable air service to the region. We are pleased that DOT has selected United Airlines to continue serving the Dickinson community, said Hoeven. Dependable air travel is necessary to ensure the vitality of the local economy and is important to maintaining the high quality of life people in this community expect. Under the new contract, United Airlines will provide 12 weekly flights to Denver, Colorado on a 50 seat regional jet (ERJ-145) through September 30, 2018. The Dickinson Municipal Airport and the City of Dickinson both supported United's proposal. Following United Airlines announcement that it planned to discontinue air service to Dickinson, Hoeven requested that DOT Secretary Anthony Foxx expedite the agency's essential air service review process and award a new contract as soon as possible for air service at Dickinson Airport. -###- Print Email Tweet Next Article Previous Article 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
