I'm encouraged that China is starting to buy soybeans from U.S. producers. At the same time, I called OMB Director Mulvaney and emphasized that it is very important that the USDA continue with the trade assistance payment for our farmers, said Hoeven. We want to see both that assistance, as well as China coming back into the market to buy our agriculture products. In August, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) rolled out the first half of its trade assistance to aid producers while the Administration works to negotiate better trade deals for the nation.
