Collectively worth $290 million dollars, these grants will serve as an expansion of the 2020 Quantum Leap Challenges Institutes (QLCI) program which was created to ensure adherence to the 2018 National Quantum Initiative Act, legislation designed to accelerate the research of quantum science for economic and national security.
