Power 2025 North America Airport Satisfaction Study. MSP has been ranked the top airport in North America by J.D. Power for two years in a row, and three out of the last four years. As a top member of the Senate Commerce Committee, Klobuchar has consistently supported airport improvement and safety funding for Minnesota airports. “When tourists land at MSP, it is often their first impression of our state – and they arrive to find a world-class facility and a staff dedicated to making their journey as easy as possible. That’s why I have consistently fought for airport funding for airports across Minnesota,” said Klobuchar. “I will continue to advocate for our state’s airports to ensure they can keep up with safety requirements, and passenger and economic demands.” “Federal funding is important as we continue to modernize, expand and improve operations to meet the growing demand at MSP Airport,” said Metropolitan Airports Commission CEO Brian Ryks. “Partnerships between the MAC and the federal government help us to better meet the expectations of our customers and continually achieve national and industry accolades.” Klobuchar worked to secure a major investment of federal funds to expand MSP’s facilities at Terminal 2, which was awarded last year. This project is expected to be completed in 2027.
