Additionally, Senator Luján highlighted legislative efforts he is leading to bolster scientific innovation and boost broadband access in every corner of New Mexico. At UNMH, Senator Luján, a stroke survivor, met with UNM Hospital & Health Sciences leadership and staff to spotlight his recently introduced Stroke Act, legislation that would improve stroke prevention, treatment, recovery, and data collection in New Mexico and across the United States. The legislation would invest in research, strengthen emergency response and rehabilitation services, expand access to care, and help people recognize stroke symptoms and seek lifesaving treatment.
