This funding was made available through the Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC) program and will assist with economic development initiatives for locations hard-hit by economic transition. West Virginians have proven over and over again that if you invest in our state, we return it tenfold. The Williamson Health and Wellness Center and Blue Ridge Community and Technical College are great examples of this, excelling in providing healthcare to rural West Virginians and preparing students for the 21st Century workforce. I'm pleased by this investment to spur economic development and look forward to seeing the benefits to our workforce for years to come, said Senator Manchin. As we continue to look towards a brighter future for all of our communities in West Virginia, the necessary resources must be provided to spur economic development in areas that need it most,said Senator Capito. I've had the chance to visit both Blue Ridge Community and Technical College in the Eastern Panhandle and Williamson Health and Wellness Center in Mingo County to see firsthand the fantastic work they are doing for the people of our state.
