The legislation passed the Senate today by a vote of 95 to 3. “I am thrilled I was able to include a provision authorizing the Army Corps of Engineers to conduct studies to reduce flood risks,” Senator Manchin said. “West Virginia is still recovering from the devastating floods we experienced on June 23rd and this legislation is another step we can take to prevent future flooding throughout our state. I remain committed to using every tool at my disposable to helping our state recover and rebuild and look for ways to prevent this devastation in the future.” ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
