The funding will be used to help improve driver behavior and performance, and to reduce deaths and injuries from motor vehicle-related crashes. “Investing in our state’s infrastructure is critical to protecting the safety of our drivers, while also laying the foundation for economic growth,” Senator Manchin said. “I am pleased that these funds will help prevent traffic accidents and keep West Virginians and visitors safe.” “This grant is great news for West Virginia,” said Senator Rockefeller, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. “Improving the safety of our highways is essential for our drivers and passengers. If we can prevent even one loss of life through this investment, we are moving in the right direction.
