Senators Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) welcomed todays announcement about the site selection for the relocation of the VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Charleston, West Virginia. According to the VA, the new location for the Charleston clinic will be on Route 119 South at 700 Technology Drive in South Charleston and is expected to open in the summer of 2016. The current clinic will remain operational until the new clinic is open. Our veterans have sacrificed so much in defense of this country, and they deserve the best quality care when they return home, Senator Manchin said. As the number of veterans continues to grow in West Virginia, it is wonderful that those residing in Kanawha County and around the area will have access to the healthcare services they need and deserve at this new clinic. This is great news for our veterans. West Virginians have a long history of service to our nation and deserve the best care possible. The new clinic in South Charleston will provide a number of additional services to the thousands of veterans in Kanawha and surrounding counties, said Senator Capito. We must continue to enhance access to care, meet the specific needs of veterans living in rural communities throughout West Virginia, and ensure that the VA has the resources necessary to fulfill its mission. ### Print Email Tweet Next Article Previous Article 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
