These jobs will be a big win, for the company, for our economy, and for hundreds of Missourians, and I look forward to continuing to work with Boeing as it begins this exciting transition.” McCaskill, a senior member of the Armed Services Committee, is a longtime advocate for Boeing’s operations in Missouri. She previously urged Boeing to consider Missouri—already home to more than 15,000 Boeing employees—in its proposal for 777X commercial production, the first commercial aircraft work for Boeing in Missouri, which is scheduled to begin in 2017.
