U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and cory Booker today announced $2,345,360 will be awarded to the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program in Cedar Knolls. This grant, awarded by the U.S. Department of Commerce National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), aims to help manufacturers in New Jersey grow and compete in the marketplace. This federal funding is vital in supporting the evolving needs of New Jerseys manufacturers, said Sen. Menendez. Providing our states manufacturers with the necessary tools they need in order to make goods, provide well-paying jobs, and compete locally and globally makes for a stronger New Jersey economy. New Jerseys small- and medium-sized manufacturers are key to boosting our economy and strengthening our state's global competitiveness, said Sen. Booker. Federal investments like this help NJMEP provide our local manufacturers the support they need to create jobs, foster innovation and continue to grow.
