This federal investment will help to improve access to dental care for children with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and intellectual disabilities. “Access to quality health care services, including dental care, is essential to families in rural areas across Kansas,” said Sen. Moran. “Parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities face challenges in obtaining necessary dental care for their children. This investment in the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas, Pittsburg, will help make certain that these families can receive the services they need within their own communities.
