Our hearts break for the families of the victims, the wounded still suffering today, and the entire nation of France. Today we grieve for the dead, pray for the wounded, and join the people of France in demanding justice in the wake of this atrocity. These attacks are yet another tragic reminder of the continued dangers posed by radical Islamic terror groups to global security. Last evening the Department of Homeland Security reported that there is no credible threat against our homeland today. Now, nor ever, can we be complacent. The desire of radical Islam to attack our nation remains ever present. This is not the time to reduce investments in our national security, whether abroad or here in the homeland. Right now we need to stand with France but also stand together as a nation to stop these terrorists in their tracks and fight against terrorism and extremism.
