For the thousands of Alaskans that are federal employees and contractors, and for all Americans who rely on government services, keeping the government open as we work to finalize FY2021 funding bills is crucial, said Senator Murkowski. Passing this resolution allows Congress the needed time to find compromise on a number of appropriations bills, including funding to support national defense, energy and water initiatives, education, and so much more. And in an effort to support Alaskans and Americans who are struggling to navigate the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, I continue to work with colleagues on a bipartisan measure to provide much-needed emergency relief.
