Murphy also called for a bipartisan investigation into Russian interference and for further action, as necessary, to prevent future cyber attacks against the United States. “I fully support the Obama administration’s decision today to impose sanctions against Russia. Putin's aggression is a direct attack on our democracy and our institutions of government, and the sanctions and expulsions announced today send a strong, clear message that these actions have consequences. “For years, I’ve listened to my Republican colleagues in the Senate eviscerate President Obama for being too weak on Russia.
