Paul, later noting, “He’s been wrong about the Syrian war from the beginning, because the neocons – Lindsey Graham and others – and actually many liberals, like Hillary Clinton, they actually all supported the Sunni extremists against Assad.” “I’m not so sure that the Sunni extremists taking over Syria would have been better than Assad,” he continued. “I’m not a fan of Assad, but sometimes maybe you have two evils, and you really don’t have to pick sides.
