The ERCIP funds projects that improve the energy resilience and energy and water efficiency at DOD installations. This intelligence facility central utility plant project at Wright-Patt will help make the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) more energy efficient. The legislation now heads to the president's desk to be signed into law. Portman released the following statement: I am pleased that the Senate-passed FY 2021 conference report includes funding for this ERCIP project, which will help make NASIC more energy efficient. This project will help address deficiencies in the existing cooling system, which have led to increasing equipment downtime and data loss in the last few years. I believe it will make a difference to our Airmen and Air Force Civilians at Wright-Patt and I urge President Trump to sign this important legislation into law soon. NOTE: Last month Portman participated in the groundbreaking ceremony of an expansion for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The expansion was financed by $120.9 million Portman helped secure in the FY 2020 NDAA conference report.
