As the Senate prepares to debate Trade Promotion Authority, we strongly support the inclusion of provisions to discourage currency manipulation that hurts U.S. manufacturers and auto workers.” In September, Portman and Levin signed a letter with 58 of their Senate colleagues to the U.S. Trade Representative and Secretary of the Treasury calling for “strong and enforceable” currency disciplines to be included in trade agreements.
