This comprehensive review of the Columbia River System Operations affirms the critical importance of the four dams of the Lower Snake River to Idaho and the region's energy production, irrigation, flood risk, and economic success while balancing species recovery. I appreciate the Administration's commitment to western water and applaud its dedication to conducting a robust and thorough review on time. Background: The Columbia River System provides multiple benefits to Idaho and the region, including flood risk management, economic stimulus, crop irrigation, and clean hydropower. The Record of Decision, signed jointly by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation and Bonneville Power Administration, commits the agencies to administer the operations and maintenance of the 14 federal dams that compose the Columbia River System.
