This news marks over $850,000 that Senator Rosen will have returned to the Treasury during the last four years. As a Senator, it is my responsibility to ensure that hardworking Nevadans' taxpayer dollars are properly managed, said Senator Rosen. I am pleased to announce that my office will be returning over $250,000 to the United States Treasury. I am proud of my office's efforts to lead the way in good governance. I will continue working in Congress to find areas where we can reduce government spending while ensuring that our efforts are meeting the needs of the American people. BACKGROUND: Senator Rosen has supported a number of efforts to reduce government waste and abuse of taxpayer dollars. Last year, Senator Rosen also returned over $250,000 to the U.S. Treasury. During her time in the House of Representatives, then-Congresswoman Rosen returned over $350,000 to the Treasury.
