LINK Vermont Veterans’ Home The union representing Vermont state employees says the state is being cruel to put out word of layoffs at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington at Christmastime. Administration Secretary Jeb Spaulding said layoff notices have not gone out yet, but the Vermont State Employees Association has to be notified 35 days before reductions take effect.
