It will update and expand health centers across the state and provide more people with the health care they need,” said Senator Schatz. The funding from the American Rescue Plan can be used for COVID-19-related capital needs, including constructing new facilities, renovating and expanding existing facilities to enhance response to pandemics, and purchasing new state-of-the-art equipment, including telehealth technology, mobile medical vans, and freezers to store vaccines.
