This is the first piece of legislation to come out of the work of Senator Schmitt’s Anti-Fraud Task Force. “Fraud is not a victimless crime. Codifying the NFED is the first step toward strengthening oversight and accountability on behalf of the American people. So far, the Trump Administration has uncovered over $200 billion in fraud, and it’s time for Congress to do its part. This is only the beginning.
