The funding, granted through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Airport Terminal Program, will finance projects that address reconstruction and expansion at New York’s airports. The projects include constructing and rehabilitating air traffic control towers, expanding airport terminals and roadways, and upgrading HVAC and security systems. “When I became majority leader, I promised to deliver the federal funding needed to support much-needed infrastructure improvements at New York’s airports, and that is just what we delivered when created the Airport Terminal Program in our Bipartisan Infrastructure & Jobs Law.
